Pictures of the new place

Well, here we are in our new house. Erik has decorated the baby's room with the help of both grandmas and I was surprised with the finished product. Doesn't it look amazing?! Hope you enjoy a few pictures of our new house. Have a happy day!

This is the dining room and living room.

And this is the basement. Erik loves the "man cave"... and I enjoy joining him down there as well.

The Move to Buffalo

Well, here we are in Buffalo. I've just gotten back from a vacation with the girls in my family and Erik was away on a boys vacation with my dad and brother only a week before that so we are happy to be together again. We're still getting settled in, so no pictures for now but they will come!
Here is a little story from our life in Buffalo to give you a taste of what our new life is like:
This morning Erik and I woke up and headed for the DMV to change our licenses to NY ones. On our way out we heard a crunch and a scrape as we backed our car out of the driveway. It must be explained that we live next to a family who has five children, not including the one that is on the way. Yes, five kids and our neighbor is pregnant again. Oh, and she's due a week before I am due! What are the odds? Anyhoo, I got out of the car and discovered that we had just rolled over our neighbor's remote control car... and sand bucket. To make matters worse, I think that she saw the whole thing unfold right in front of her eyes because when I turned around to move the toys out of our way she was in her car right behind us leaving. Yes, a truly embarrassing moment.
When we got back from the DMV, we confronted our neighbor about the toys and to our surprise she said, "Oh, thank you! We have so many toys out here and I keep wanting to get rid of them. The more toys you run over the better!" While I wasn't sure that I wanted to run over any more toys, I was really grateful that she was so kind about our ignorance to living next to children. I can already tell that we are going to learn a whole lot about living with and near kids in the next little while.
She invited me in and we chatted for a while. After playing with some of the cutest little boys and getting some great advice on what to do to stay cool in the Buffalo summers, she sent me home with a car-seat that she used for her last child and a loaf of home made bread. I don't even know her! Gee whiz, I hope I can be like that for people someday.
Well, that is your taste of Buffalo. I just had to write a little something from our adventures here. The people are so nice. I love the rivers and streams that are scattered everywhere. I still miss my cute little apartment that Erik and I started our life together in, but I think that Buffalo will grow on me in time.
