Today's pictures of Will

Here are a few of the latest pics:

Will loves to chew on things... especially Tigger.

He's making lots of cute new sounds and lots of the same cute smiles too.

Here's our little man rockin' our world one grin at a time.

The boy who lived... And slipped on a banana peel

We may have fallen into the trap of most parents in the world. I've been noticing that a lot of the videos that we have of Will may seem boring to anyone but his adoring fans (aka- Erik and me). He doesn't do much in them and often when we are trying to capture a smile or laugh he seems to know and deliberately hold what ever we are looking for inside of him. We think that they are Hollywood quality... but something inside of me tells me that we may have a slight bias. That being said; I'm still putting up a few family videos . He's just too cute to pass up. So here it is:

So, as I finish this post I have a few thoughts. To start, I must say that I find it quite strange to hear my own voice on the recordings. I don't think I really like the sound of it, but Erik tells me that no one does. I grew up with narrated family videos, so that is what comes naturally to me as the videographer. Also, if this actually works and the videos appear on my blog... I will take my place as the tech-savvy one of the family. Sorry Cami. Here goes nothing.

More Will Stories

Well, the kid still spits up. We had our friends Dawn and Caleb come over for Will's first ever play-date and we have another story for the blog now. I was introducing Will to little Caleb. I thought this would be a good idea; why not learn manners early on? I put Will right in front of Caleb when he projectile vomited right in his direction. It landed three inches from the poor boy. I handed Will to Dawn, who still was interested in holding him after his little scene, and no sooner had I cleaned up his spit up mess than I heard a major explosion coming from Will's direction. I turned around to see that Will had had a blow out... a big blow out. I had to change his diaper and his clothes. After that I was putting a new outfit on him when I noticed that it was dirty. Not just dirty but the bad kind of dirty. I could have sworn that went through the laundry! Well, it had. I just let Will hang out in his diaper. I held him and suddenly felt something going through my clothes. Yes, my fears were confirmed as I realized that he had pooped on me as well. All this happened with in one hour. As I told Erik about the story he noted that it must have all happened because Will was nervous for his first play-date. I sure hope that trend doesn't continue.

Will is doing really well. He is smiling and cooing and actually rolled over the other day. We're still waiting for a repeat on that action. I'm headed off to Portland for the week to join my family in a big event. The rumors are true! Nishelle is getting hitched on Saturday! I am so excited for them. I really like Dave and I know they are great for each other. Picture of this big event are coming soon, so stay tuned!

Here are some pics of the boy:

October 1st. I'd say it's time to put on the Halloween outfits.

Will got his shots! He did a great job. Hooray for immunizations!

Look at that neck strength!

A cute little outfit that was so easy to make.

And I just love his swirl cowlick!

Here's the Latest

Well, life in Buffalo continues on. Erik has his first test in Anatomy this Friday and I'm loving life at home with Will. Today my friend Katie came over and was holding him when he spit up all over her multiple times. I was explaining to him that it was not nice to spit up on our friends, and after a beautiful lecture from his mother (I thought I did a nice job lecturing...) he smiled and continued to spit up. Hmmm... We have some work to do on language comprehension.
Here's the latest picture of our bundle of smiles!

Smiles

Will has started smiling!

Short post but I had to state how nice it is to get a smile after all the late nights and sore muscles from holding Will just the way he likes to be held (a constant bounce, please!). Looking at this picture reminds me how much I love my baby! If this picture doesn't do it for ya, you've got to see him in person. You'd fall in love with him every time you looked at him... just like his mommy does every day!

Our Little Man

Here are some new pictures of Will. He's doing really well. Last week we had to take him into the doctor's office because mommy and daddy were going a little crazy hearing his crying (from about 6pm to midnight). We thought that he might have colic but the doctor said that it turns out that he is just a "high maintenance" baby. They diagnose a baby as suffering from colic when he cries for 12-20 hours every day. I guess life could have been a whole lot worse. Power to the moms who have babies with colic!
We have a pretty good baby on our hands now. The doctor said to give him some gripe water and gas drops. I couldn't find the gripe water in the store so I asked for some help and the lady laughed at me when I cheered because she found it. Maybe she had a crying baby at one point. Wow! What a difference. Hooray for gripe water! He's back to being a little angel.

This is the most recent picture of little William. I thought that I needed a good crying one because I'd want to look back and remember what it once was like. Also, I think he's so cute even when he cries... no bias.

Here is a picture of Erik and Will. I thought it was so cute that they matched.

Will and Kait just chillin on the couch. I am enjoying my time as a mom reading and taking care of my baby boy.

I had to put this one in because I think he's so funny when he takes tubbies. He has this glare that would make even the meanest person take him out and cuddle him.

Pregnancy Ravings and Cravings

Well, I'm two days away from my due date and I'm feeling rather uncomfortable. I feel like I've been waiting so long for this baby that now I just really want to meet him. It's really hot here in NY. I don't know how many people are familiar with the east coast but it is really humid! I've taken to retreating into my bedroom (the only room in our house with AC) and just waiting for the baby to be born...

But NO MORE!

Last Friday I decided that I can't wait. I need to do fun things to occupy my time until he graces us with his presence. (Did I mention I can't wait to see his little fingers and toes?) So, the project for today stems from my trip to New York City.
While we were there we went to a restaurant called Mesa Grill. The owner of the restaurant is the one and only Bobby Flay.

If you know one fact about Morgan girls it's probably something about how much we LOVE chocolate. Did you know that my mom has five pounds of chocolate in her kitchen at any given time? Now that's food storage for ya! Given this, you may have guessed that our favorite thing at our restaurant was chocolate. It was Mexican Chocolate Pudding. I've searched high and low for the recipe and I think that I just found it... you wouldn't want me to share it with you, would you? Okay, if you twist my arm; here it is.

* 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
* 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
* 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
* 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
* 2 cups plain unsweetened almond milk
* 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into bits
* 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Now, just mix the first four ingredients together in a saucer. Stir in the almond milk. Bring it to a boil string occasionally. Once it boils stir constantly for one minute then add the butter and vanilla. Refrigerate it and add a dollop of whipped cream on top. Let me know what you think. Or if you tried it. It's worth it.

P.S. I think next time I'll try to thicken it. It wasn't quite as thick as in the restaurant.
